Nestled in the heart of the countryside, halfway between Poitiers and Angoulême, just 20 km from the TGV/TER station at Ruffec, in the village of Paizay-Naudouin, we welcome you to one of our three holiday cottages set within a large, fully enclosed park.

Here are our accommodation options:

• The  Logis near the chateau, set in the castle’s outbuildings dating from the 14th and 16th centuries;
• The Logis within the enclosure of the chateau, comprising one of the 14th-century defence towers;
• The Logis of the park, situated behind the castle’s outbuildings.

These self-catering gîtes are perfect for families or a group of friends.

Depending on availability, you can book all three gîtes together to accommodate up to 15–16 people across two properties, or up to 20 people by booking the entire complex.

On site, you’ll find everything you need for an active holiday: pétanque balls for lively games, a gymnastics frame for fitness enthusiasts, a tennis court for intense rallies, and a table tennis table for quick and fun matches!

Nearby, numerous hiking trails await you, inviting you to discover beautiful walks. Get ready to explore tourist treasures such as majestic castles, churches steeped in history and remarkable gardens, whether listed or temporary.

Fancy a dip? Two lakes are just 10 km and 17 km away, perfect for swimming or fishing. For the adventurous, a river 25 km away offers a host of thrilling activities: swimming, canoing and kayaking for all ages!

Just 10 km away, an equestrien centre awaits you for unforgettable experiences on horseback.

For those seeking thrills, head to the ‘Base des forges in Taizé-Aizie, 25 km away, where you can hire electric scooters to explore the surroundings at your leisure. Horse rides are also available in Taizé-Aizie for horse riding enthusiasts.

Cycling enthusiasts won’t be left out, with the captivating La Vélidéale route stretching from Nantes to Lake Vassivière, ideal for a cycling adventure.

Finally, for a picturesque experience, treat yourself to a horse-drawn carriage ride lasting around 1½ hours in Longré, just 5 km away. Remember to book the day before to ensure a magical experience.

Book in advance for stays of 7 days or more, or for more than 14 days, or even more than 30 days, and enjoy discounts on the nightly rate!
A special rate is available for any reservation made 60 days before your arrival date.

The rate includes bed linens and towels, as well as preparation of the accommodation (beds made) before your arrival.

Daily housekeeping is your responsibility, and the cottage must be left clean before your departure.

Regarding electricity usage for charging an electric vehicle (as there is no charging station on-site), a flat fee of €15 per charge per vehicle will be applied.
